Job Summary
We are seeking a bilingual Spanish HR Generalist for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Van Nuys, CA. This hands-on Human Resources role supports an established company in the beauty industry and is ideal for a people-focused HR professional who enjoys payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, recruiting, compliance, and day-to-day HR operations.

The HR Generalist will work closely with team members across departments, partner with leadership, and contribute to talent acquisition, retention, employee engagement, and compliance. Key Responsibilities
- Administer daily Human Resources operations, including payroll, benefits, employee records, onboarding, compliance, recruiting, and employee relations support.
- Process bi-weekly payroll through ADP for 100+ employees, including wage changes, personal information updates, garnishments, W-4 changes, promotions, increases, and terminations.
- Manage new hire administration, onboarding, I-9 documentation, E-Verify verification, employee verifications, and HRIS updates.
- Maintain personnel files, confidential files, training files, I-9 files, and required workplace postings in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
- Support talent acquisition, retention, coaching, employee relations, safety, risk management, and HR policy administration.
- Communicate professionally with employees, leadership, vendors, visitors, and cross-functional teams while helping promote a positive workplace culture.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $34.00 to $37.00 per hour.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Process bi-weekly payroll through ADP for 100+ employees.
- Support HR operations across payroll, benefits, recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and personnel administration.
- Maintain accurate employee records, HRIS data, I-9 documentation, E-Verify records, and required compliance files.
- Partner with leadership and employees to support a positive, compliant, and productive workplace.
- Bilingual Spanish is required.
- 3 to 5 years of Human Resources experience, with a broad generalist background.
- Experience with payroll administration, benefits administration, talent acquisition, employee relations, recruiting, and HR compliance.
- Experience working in manufacturing and e-commerce environments.
- Proficiency with ADP, Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, Outlook, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Slack.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly across diverse employee groups.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and stay accountable for results.
- Self-starter with the ability to work across teams, build alignment, and support collaborative problem solving.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism, accuracy, and discretion.
- Associate degree or higher preferred, with 4+ years of relevant experience noted as a strong fit.
Preferred Qualifications
- HR certification preferred.
- 2+ years of beauty or personal care industry experience preferred.
- Technology-driven mindset with an interest in using HR systems and tools to improve efficiency.
- Experience helping build teamwork, employee engagement, and a positive organizational culture.
